A normal one

I don’t know whether it is the hot summer day or just regular third day gliding deprivation, but today everything is kind of slow and everyone looks kind of tired. Everybody just briefly commented that today it was nice flying. However Finns were pretty smiley. I asked them how they like flying in Slovakia and they said it was very nice, but it’s hard to find the place for landing over here. Well it’s kind of… let’s say… interesting to hear something like this from Finns whose country is nothing but lakes and forests.:) But they specify that “the” what’s behind the mountain is what scares them.

About the task, they told me that south was just for the patient pilots, who were willing to take not very “generous” thermals. Yet the best part of the task was the north. There were nice cumuli, and it was very good around the mountains. This is Germans’ opinion, but for example Danes liked the south part better. Different nation, different taste… even at gliding.

Some of the gliders got wet, which can be good sometimes. At least they didn’t need the bug wipers.

Tomorrow we’ll have another training day. Hopefully our office will be in training as well and tracking will finally be on air. :)
